Lesser Farur (Forur) is situated 67 km from Bandare Lenge and 65 km from Abu Musâ island, in the Persian Gulf. This island is located between latitudes 26- 8' and 26- 6' N. and longitudes 54- 27' and 54- 26' E and is a part of Abu Musâ sub-province (one of six islands in Abu Musâ Island Group) and Hormozgán province in Iran. There is no habitation on this island. |

This island covers an
area of 1.5 sq kms. The highest point on the island is 36 m above
the sea. Like the other islands in the Persian Gulf enjoys warm and
humid
climate. The surface of lesser Farur is sandy, except for a section on
the east side which is rocky. |
