Queripel Martin Queripel 23 Nov 1802 - 16 Jan 1875 #1531 aged 71 son of Elizabeth Tumain and Peter Queripel, born at St Martins Church, Guernsey, Channel Islands wed 1844 to Judith Mauger. The Surprise came June 1855 with 50 passengers including Martin Queripel 50, Judith 30, Martin Grut 9, Judith 6, Paul Grut 5, Peter 3 and John Mauger 2. The Surprise is said to have been shipwrecked on the way to Australia. Marie Queripel baptised 10 June 1694 dau of Catherine Robert and Elie Queripel may be a sister to Martin Another connection appears to be with Jane Queripel who wed John Pallot and had a son Pierre born 9 Dec 1824 at St Peters Port, Guernsey, Channel Isalnds. Pierre came to Victoria, see the Pallot family entry Martin Queripel 23 Nov 1802 - 16 Jan 1875 #1531 aged 71 came 1855 on the Surprise with Judith Mauger and lived at McIntyres till 1862, Newbridge then Dunolly
