Typed in Anna Maria Hussey Deburgh into Google and your site came up in which I discovered my g.g.grandmother!
AMHD is my g. g. grandmother.
She had a daughter Francis (Fanny) Ker, who married Charles Lloyd Purvis Chase.
They had a daughter, Hester Violet Airey Chase, who married my grandfather Rothsay Seaforth Mackenzie at St Georges Church. Hobart in 13 May 1916
I am keen to find out as much as I can about the Australian side of my family. Can you tell me a bit more the origins of your site and what it does

Kind regards, Malcolm Seaforth Mackenzie, Devon, England

George named his parents as John McNish and Catherine McFarlane but in the 1851 Census he is listed as a nephew, living at 25 Paisley Rd. Renfrew, Glasgow, Scotland. At that time he was an apprentice clerk.

George arrived in Victoria in 1856. He worked in the timber trade at Mt.Cole and then purchased land at the back of Raglan. He was a carrier in gold digging days. He married Lucy Lilley at Raglan in 1866. Luke Lilley (Lucy's father, and son of Nathaniel) was killed 1888 #3369 at the age of 73 at Beaufort when he tried to jump onto the shafts of a wagon driven by George McNish and Tom Hutton. George met Lucy at Armstrong's Station where she was a domestic servant.
