Okay, this sounds silly but
you will need to find or make a small 45 degree template, then use it to
make a large star point template.
Four ways to get a 45 degree diamond for your template: |
1) The easiest way it to use an existing small template you have from a book or a printout from a computer quilt design program. |
2) Download
this template page in PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat
Reader to get the file. ![]() |
3) If you don't have #1, you can draft your star point in any size from 2" to infinity using a protractor. |
4) You can draft a traditional eight pointed star using graph paper and a compass if you don't have an existing diamond or a protractor. You can also use this technique if you would like to make a traditional eight pointed star in an odd size too. |
Okay, now that you have your small template, lets move on to
How big a star do you want to make? |
