* JOHN C. SHERWOOD, M.A., is a journalist, writer and editor at the The News Journal, published at Wilmington, Delaware. John also is a magician, playwright and actor. A performer since 1962, he has delighted audiences throughout Michigan as well as in England with his magical feats, escapes and mind-reading demonstrations. His wide range of stage credits range from musical comedy to mystery and drama, and includes a one-man rendition of the classic Conan Doyle story, "A Scandal in Bohemia." John is the author of plays staged in the Michigan cities of Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Marshall, Union City, Albion, Jackson and Ann Arbor. John has written for several publications distributed among magicians -- including the "Just for Us Young Guys" and "Lost in the Forest" columns for "The News Tops," published by the Abbott Magic Co.; and two books on magic, "The Conjuror's Calculator" and "The Circuited Sorcerer," published in Canada by Micky Hades. If you'd like, see his complete bibliography.

* KATARI K. BROWN, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and counselor based at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville, Pa. She also is a musician, composer and actress with more than a decade of performances as a vocalist, pianist, harpsichordist and stage performer in musical and non-musical comedy as well as drama. Her original songs and stylish renderings of popular favorites have delighted audiences throughout Michigan, particularly at The Victorian Villa Inn under the auspices of Aquila Productions as well as our company. * If you or your group wants to generate additional revenue, then sponsor a show, play or program from MysteryVisits! Gifted-and-talented programs and educational organizations also call on us for our problem-solving dramatizations and consultation services. Our events help you to generate excellent publicity and outstanding community relations. For details, click here!

* In addition to longer seminars, private readings, parties and discussion events, MysteryVisits provides a variety of programs suitable for meetings and gatherings of groups -- informative addresses, teach-ins and lively entertainment. For an additional fee and if time allows, we can provide "pre-show" one-on-one magic and personal readings while mingling from table to table prior to the full presentation. A nonrefundable retainer fee is requested three weeks in advance of performance; this will count toward the total fee, the remainder of which will be due on the night of performance.

* Bookers, please note: While we provide and carry all performance equipment, we do not provide a platform or sound system (most venues prefer that we use their own). So we ask that your venue provide such a sound system (wireless microphone or platform microphone) and a suitable area for performance. If a lighted stage or platform isn't available, we require a cleared, well-lighted area approximately 12 feet by 12 feet in size, as centrally located as possible rather than at one end; we can adapt if the space is in the physical center of your audience area.

* From 1984 through 1999, MysteryVisits was a mainstay for entertainment at The Victorian Villa Inn in Union City, Michigan. See The Victorian Villa Production Company's Main Page for a listing of the broad range of specialized, Victorian-style programs offered at that location. At times, we've drawn on excellent professional talent to stage a variety of special events, from mystery weekends to formal banquet and special-event entertainment, in a modern manner or in period dress.

* For an affordable fee, MysteryVisits also offers performance rights for its fast-paced original playscripts, "Jeeves and the Nasty Business," "Still Safe," "Bribes," "In the Name of the Bee," "Six Words," "Sherlock Holmes's Other Woman" and "A Morning on Baker Street." Also available are performance rights for an exciting original mystery-dinner or mystery-banquet format, "The Stolen Prize." If you live *outside* a 175-mile radius of Michigan's Victorian Villa, you may qualify for our special rate. For details, click here
