1975 EUROPEAN FINAL

Swedish pole vaulter Kjell Isaksson easily won the title over former British champion Hemery. Ironically, Isaksson had a disappointing finish at the 1972 Olympics in Munich for much the same reason as 1973 U.S. Superstars champion Bob Seagren did. The I.A.A.F. barred the use of the catapole which both men had been using with great success prior to the games. Seagren and Isaksson finished 1-2 at the first World Superstars event in 1977.
