"Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never
see death. {52} Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a
devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep
my saying, he shall never taste of death. {53} Art thou greater than our
father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou
thyself? {54} Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it
is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: {55}
Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him
not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
{56} Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was
glad. {57} Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham? {58} Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I
say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."
(John_8:51-58)
"And Jesus said unto them, I am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to
me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
{36} But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. {37}
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me
I will in no wise cast out.
{38} For I came down from heaven, not to do
mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. {39} And this is the
Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I
should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. {40}
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the
Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise
him up at the last day.
{41} The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the Bread which
came down from heaven.
{42} And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of
Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith,
I came down from heaven? {43} Jesus therefore answered and said unto them,
Murmur not among yourselves. {44} No man can come to me, except the Father
which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
{45} It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every
man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto
me. {46} Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God,
he hath seen the Father. {47} Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me hath everlasting life. {48} I am that Bread of Life."
(John_6:35-48)
"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour
cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem,
worship the Father. {22} Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we
worship: for salvation is of the Jews. {23} But the hour cometh, and now
is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. {24} God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
{25} The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias [Messiah] cometh, which is called
Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. {26} Jesus saith unto
her, I that speak unto thee am He."
(John_4:21-26)
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. {7} If ye had
known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know
him, and have seen him. {8} Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the
Father, and it sufficeth us. {9} Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long
time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen
me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
{10} Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the
words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. {11} Believe me that I am in the
Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
{12} Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father.
{13} And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. {14} If ye shall ask any thing in my
name, I will do it."
(John_14:6-14)
"But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and
desired a murderer to be granted unto you; {15} And killed the Prince of
life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. {16}
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye
see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect
soundness in the presence of you all."
(Acts_3:14-16)
"Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a
Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of
sins."
(Acts_5:31)
"But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was
not with them when Jesus came. {25} The other disciples therefore said
unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see
in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of
the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. {26}
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and
said, Peace be unto you.
{27} Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my
hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not
faithless, but believing. {28} And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God.
{29} Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast
believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. {30}
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples,
which are not written in this book: {31} But these are written, that ye
might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing
ye might have life through his name."
(John_20:24-31)
"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of
mind let each esteem other better than themselves. {4} Look not every man
on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. {5} Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: {6} Who, being in the form
of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: {7} But made himself
of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in
the likeness of men: {8} And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
{9}
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name: {10} That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; {11}
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father."
(Phil_2:3-11)
"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful
witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings
of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his
own blood, {6} And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father;
to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
(Rev_1:5-6)
