I'm never alone
in the morning
As I rise at the break of the day,
For Jesus who watched through the darkness
Says, "Lo, I am with you alway".
I'm
never alone at my table
Though loved ones no longer I see:
For dearer than all who have vanished
Is
Jesus who breaks bread with me.
I'm
never alone through the daylight,
Though
nothing but trials I see.
Though
the furnace be seven times heated
The "form of the fourth" walks with me.
I'm never alone at the twilight,
when darkness around me doth creep,
And specters press hard round my pillow.
He watches and cares while I sleep.
I'm
walking and talking with Jesus
Each
day as I travel along.
I'm
never alone, Hallelujah!
The
joy of the Lord is my song.

'Always There'
Hello
God, I called tonight
To
talk a little while...
I
need a friend who'll listen
To
my anxiety and trial.
You
see, I can't quite make it
Through
a day just on my own...
I
need Your love to guide me,
So
I'll never feel alone.
I
want to ask You please to keep,
My
family safe and sound.
Come
and fill their lives with confidence
For
whatever fate they're bound.
Give
me faith, dear God, to face
Each
hour throughout the day,
And
not to worry over things
I
can't change in any way.
I
thank You God, for being home
And
listening to my call,
For
giving me such good advice
When
I stumble and fall.
Your
number, God, is the only one
That
answers every time.
I
never get a busy signal,
Never
had to pay a dime.
So
thank You, God, for listening
To
my troubles and my sorrow.
Good
night, God, I love You, too,
And
I'll call again tomorrow!

'Friendship's Road'
I've
a warm and friendly feeling
As
I think of you today;
And
I wish that we could visit,
But
you're many miles away.
Separated
by such distance,
Yet
your letters bring you near;
through
the miles we share a friendship
That's
become to me most dear.
Friends
through correspondence only;
Still,
your face I need not see
For
your soul shines through the pages
Every
time you write to me.
You've
a special way of writing,
Warming
as the sunshine rays,
Bringing
joy and inspiration,
Letter
brightening up my days.
You've
enriched my life, my dear one,
And
I'm glad God willed we meet,
"Friendship's
Road" is that much nicer
Traveling
it with one so sweet.

'When Life Gets So Hard'
I wanted to find some words on a card. That would help to get through it when life gets so hard.
It
seems you can't bear it - perhaps can't go on - When deep in the heart
there's no trace of a
song.
Some
words that would comfort - when late in the night the trials return and
- you're too
tired
to fight. Or the tears flow so often it seems you'll run dry. And life
gets so tough that
you
just want to die - Or at least go and hide - where you're safe from all
pain. Someplace
you
can rest 'til you find joy again.
What
are the words you so need to hear - That will help and will heal and
remove
all the fear
That
builds up inside 'til you think you'll explode - What are the words
that
will lighten the
load?
If
only I knew the right words to say. To encourage and Bless you or
comfort
some way. I
know
not the words but this I can do. I shall offer up Prayers to the Father
for you.

'Risks'
To
laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To
weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To
reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To
expose feelings is to risk rejection.
To
place your dreams before the crowd is to
risk
ridicule.
To
love is to risk not being loved in return.
To
go forward in the face of overwhelming
odds
is to risk failure.
But
risks must be taken because
the
greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The
person who risks nothing does nothing
has
nothing, is nothing.
He
may avoid suffering and sorrow
but
he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained
by his certitudes, he is a slave.
He
has forfeited his freedom.
Only
a person who takes risks is free.

'When Prayers Aren't Answered'
When
prayers aren't answered, quickly or right away,
just
ask the Lord, to reveal to you, the reason for His delay.
If
the answer for that request just seems to take too long,
Just
lift up your hands and praise Him,
with
a glorious new song. Just wait on the Lord,
and
try to be still, 'Cause your request may not be
in
God's will, for if that is the case,
just
praise him again, He won't steer you wrong
'cause
he's your friend. Maybe you'll learn patience,
a
little trust too. Or maybe your motives
you'll
need to review. Ask him for an answer,
the
way he sees fit. But don't lose hope
and
don't you quit. The answer can be revealed
in
a miraculous way So, be prepared to listen
to
what he has to say! The answer will bring Him
honor
and glory, and then you'll be able to tell
your
story. Minister to those who did lose hope,
who
were looking for answers on how to cope!
