Dear Elizabeth,
I just came acroos your website listing descendants of John Boadle and Margaret Lyons.
I am a great-grandson of this couple and wanted to correct an error in details that you give of their children. Some details for the 7th child, John Boadle, are incorrect.
You have the correct date of birth and death, but John did not marry and had no children.
The John Boadle who married Margaret Britter comes from a different family. He is the son of John James Boadle and Kate Eustace. He was born 1873 and died 1963.
A couple of other errors:
John Boadle who came out on the Sardinian was born 1835 (not 1834)
The mother of John Boadle (1834 - 1899) was Mary Mawson (not Manson)
Isaac married Mary Ann Hovey (not Houery)
Robert Boadle and wife Alison lived at Footscray.

An IGI Submitted etry gives his Christening: son of Jane and Jacob Boadle 05 Apr 1851 at Whitehaven, Cumberland, England, and Jacob Boadle wed Dec quarter, 1849 to Jane Benson in district of Whitehaven which spans the boundaries of the counties of Cumbria and Cumberland.

Martin Bofill 1830 - 26 Mar 1898 aged 66 born in Barcelona, Spain to Annie Baflilly and Martin Bofill, he wed c1856 to Katrina Dourmand 1832 - 5 Sep 1911 aged 79 (also indexed as Bumeneck, Dromana) and moved to London where he established a cork importing business and his daughter Annette was born. The family came to Victoria on the Lincolnshire April 1862, and settled at Waanyarra. He and his wife are buried at Tarnagulla.

James Bostock 1837 - 1919 #19294, son of Robert Bostock and Rachael Walker, who died at Warnambool aged 82.

Dear Elizabeth, Yes, I do have all the documentation about this James Bostock who was born in 1837 and whose mother died at his birth. He married Alice Aitkin of Glen Esk Tasmania and died in 1919 the year before his brother Augustus. We actually spoke to an old lady some years ago now who had known him near the end of his life. He boarded with the Mack family at Warrnambool. This is the right man as I have him detailed... I wish I could answer your questions as it would solve a few more very similar names as well.
However, there was a few with the same names including Robert who arrived in Tasmania in the very early days...

I enlisted the help of a genie on a help list as she had some cemetery indexes listed, She went to some length to find the final resting places of both Evelyn and Robert and I now have the following details new since I last corresponded with you.

Evelyn born 4 April 1896 (#13615) in Mitchum, Vic. She died 1 October 1993 age 97 and her ashes were scattered at the Springvale Crematorium, Vic.

Robert 19 March 1893 (#10659) in Burwood, Vic. He died 24 July 1987 age 94 and his ashes scattered at Springvale.
