CANINEZ & FELINEZ
This page is sort of a memorial to pets I have had in the past...Animals have always been a big part of my life since childhood, and I cannot imagine life without them...:)...The animals I have now each got their own page...*L*
My first two buddies...Rover and Sport.
Caesar...this guy lived to be about 24...he is responsible for changing my husband from a cat hater into a cat lover...*L*. When he was about 21 he began plugging up with urinary tract crystals so finally the vet performed what I guess would amount to a sex change operation, so he would have more room to pass them. At that time he was also diagnosed as diabetic so for the rest of his life I injected him with insulin twice a day...the things people won't do for their pets...:)
This was my next dog, Trixie, the only one we never had spayed or neutered. She had 3 litters of puppies...such cute little things I had a hard time giving them up...lol...
Prince...this beautiful animal was my mother's loyal companion and protector for 15 years. She had no idea when she got the tiny puppy he would grow sooooo large...:)
Tramp...he was part sheepdog, usually a matted mess of so much hair he couldn't even see out of his eyes...I had just cut him in this picture...:)
Charlie...:)...my favorite...he was one of Trixie's puppies I kept and he turned out to be the smartest, most loyal dogs I have ever seen. Great little frisbee player too...
A DOG'S PLEA
~~~~~Treat me kindly, my beloved friend,
          For no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness
          than the loving heart of me.
          Do not break my spirit with a stick,
          For though I should lick your hand between blows,
          your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me
          the things you would have me learn.
          Speak to me often,
          For your voice is the world's sweetest music,
          as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail
          when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.
          Please take me inside when it is cold and wet,
          For I am a domesticated animal,
          no longer accustomed to bitter elements.
          I ask no greater glory than the privelege of sitting
          at your feet beside the hearth.
          Keep my pan filled with fresh water,
          for I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.
          Feed me clean food that I may stay well,
          to romp and play and do your bidding,
          to walk by your side, and stand ready,
          willing and able to protect you with my life,
          should your life be in danger.
          And, my friend, when I am very old,
          and I no longer enjoy good health, hearing and sight,
          do not make heroic efforts to keep me going.
          I am not having any fun.
          Please see that my trusting life is taken gently,
          I shall leave this earth knowing with the last breath I draw,
          that my fate was always safest in your hands.~~~~~
