I love to cook and bake and sometimes will spend time in the kitchen to unwind and relax. Just to get away from the computers. Kneading dough for bread or pizza crust is a great way to get the kinks out of your back and shoulders after typing for most of the morning...

There's nothing quite like a pot of beef stew or chicken soup simmering on the stove on a cold winter day to make you feel warm and toasty.

I love to cook and bake and pamper... ...and curl up in front of the tv or sit at the computer with my love... Most of the time I'd prefer cooking and baking from scratch rather than buy something ready made or go out. When times get busy I'll take a day and just cook like crazy and pack everything up to freeze. I end up with a freezer full of assorted single serve meals that I can just grab and pop into the microwave to heat up when there is no time for cooking. Gives me the convenience while still having home cooking. I've spoiled myself SO bad! Can't wait to spoil my new love. I love to bake pies, cookies, breads, rolls, and cakes... For cooking... anything from omelets, to roast beef, to grilled chicken. Just point me to the stove and make sure that I don't run out of ingredients. In case you're wondering... I seldom turn down the offer of a helping hand in the kitchen so if you'd like to join in the creation of our meal or the clean up afterwards...

I love to read, watch television and movies. I used to spend a lot of time reading while sitting next to the river... I even had a favorite tree where I loved to lean back and listen to the water and the birds while I enjoyed my favorite books. How about you? Any favorite spots to go to read? I have a few authors that I really like... Stephen King is my favorite. 'The Stand' is both my most favorite book and movie. King created an entire society, a new world, that continues to fascinate me every time I watch the movie or read the book. Other authors that I enjoy very much are Koontz, Rule, Rice, Auel and Crichton. There are more, they just aren't coming to mind right now...

I have a few shows on tv that I really like... In no particular order, just as they come to mind: Seventh Heaven, Law and Order, Law and Order S.V.U., Profiler, C.S.I., Twilight Zone, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doc, The Old Westerns... Like Bonanza and the Big Valley. Some of the new shows this season are great! I'm am positively hooked on Ponderosa. The actors are doing an absolutely fantastic job. I was hoping that the show would be good after hearing that the same people that did Dr. Quinn were involved. I'm also looking forward to checking out the new Law and Order series additions. Favorite Movies, again, in no particular order... Matrix, Twister, Dante's Peak, The Abyss, Congo, Gorillas in the Mist, Ghost, Jurassic Park, The Ghost and the Darkness, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Medicine Man, Romancing the Stone, War of the Roses, Braveheart, Lake Placid, all the Lethal Weapon movies, all the Planet of the Apes movies, and tons more!

I've been spending a lot of time researching e-business and getting myself set up on the internet. My goal is to get myself set up to work from home, everyone's dream, right? My father and I have formed a partnership to set up a web site to start promoting and marketing his inventions. He has two patents so far and we're getting ready to go for two more. He's retired and just loves to putter in his shop. We've got our first site on line now, if you're curious to check it out just click here.... I've been working on Web Design. This wonder that you are reading now is my 'on going experiment' as I learn new things. I was a little bit intimidated at first but now I'm having a ball with it. I had no idea that there were so many details involved that you don't even see when you look at the finished pages. But, it's great when you get it all together and look at that finished site and it all works! ... and then someone sends you an email telling you of a typo that you missed, or that one of your links is broken... ... or worse, you go back to update something and find a typo that no one has told you about! Know of anyone that is brave enough to hire me??? hehehehehe

I love fishing. I prefer bait casting over trolling. That way you aren't listening to the sounds of the motor... You can hear the water and the loons... I have a canoe. It's nothing fancy but it floats... It's been years since I've been able to go on the water. I'm not sure if my funky knees are going to let me go anymore. Getting stiff in my od age, you know... But we still have shore fishing and other types of boats... So... Do you like to go fishing?

I love camping, too. To be outdoors, smell the fresh air, hear the birds singing. One of the best things is sitting around the campfire at night, winding down from the day. Talking, roasting marshmallows... just enjoying the depth and mystery of the fire. Sometimes you end up sitting there half the night just because it's so relaxing. I really miss that. It's one of the things that I really hope that my new love will enjoy, I think it would be an awesome thing for us to be able to share. Oh, hey, I'm a pretty good cook over a camp fire too! hehehehe

I consider myself more of a country person than city. The town that I grew up in is pretty small, but is still only about a half an hour from the big city. Our folks took us camping every weekend and winters we we went ice fishing, and being out in the country we did a lot of snowmobiling right from the yard... We had a nice stand of woods only a few blocks from the house. I used to spend hours there with my sketch books or just walking around or sitting and enjoying 'the wild'.

I'd like to get back into weight training. It's been about ten years since I quit lifting. But it's time to get back into the sport. It would be awesome if my new love would like to join me. It was one of the best periods in my life. I felt great. I looked better. But mostly I just enjoyed the workouts. It would be cool to be able to set up with the basics and start working out at home again. An activity that we could share... It's one of those things that you do for yourself that need not cost a whole lot of money, or time, or commitment - if you enjoy it...

I've never been a petite person. I've got a strong German heritage and I'm a big boned person. Even when I was at my peek and ripped I was not a 'twiggy' in any sense of the word. This is a bit of a clue for those that are into the tiny, petite gals... I'm not the one that you're looking for... I even drove truck for a few years... Hefting two or three 50 pound sacks of feed on my shoulder was an everyday task. *sigh* one of the jobs that I actually liked. (too bad the company I worked for was such a joke) I have no idea if I can get into that kind of shape again, maybe not, after so many years... I'd like to give it a shot though.... But that isn't the point, the point is to enjoy an activity that is healthy and gives a feeling of accomplishment. That makes you smile when you are done.
