1.-   TO  BREAK  INTO:   To  go into  place without permission, illegally.
Example:  A thief broke into my apartament while I was
                 at school.

2.-   CRIME:   Any illegal act, such as stealing, selling drugs, killing, etc.
   Example:   There is usually a lot of crime in big cities.

3.-   TO   PREVENT:   To take action in order to avoid a bad result.
   Example:   You can prevent many illnesses if you don't smoke.

4.-   BURGLAR:   Thief, robber.
   Example:   A burglar broke into my apartment and stole my T.V..

5.-   PORCH:   The doorway or entrance to a house, having a roof but usually no walls.
    Example:   Every morning, our newspaper is delivered on our                             porch.

6.-   BACKYARD:   The open area behind a house, containing trees, grass, atc.
   Example:  We have several fruit trees in our backyard.

7.-   TIMER:   A clock that turns  lights on and off automatically.
    Example:  A timer turns lights on  my living room lights at 5:00 PM.

8.-   LANDLORD:   The legal owner of a house, to whom a renter pays rent.
    Example:   My landlord never take care of problems in my      
                     apartment.

9.-   DEADBOLT:   A very strong lock for a door.
   Example:   All the doors in my house have deadbolts.

10.-   VALUABLES:   Items that are worth a lot of money.
   Exanple:   It's smart to put jewelry and other valuables in the                              bank.   

11.-   DECAL:   A picture or design that sticks on a smooth surface, such as glass
    Example:   I have an Auto Club decal on my car window.
